The company is currently valuated at $24 billion.<\/p>\n<p>As B2B marketing professionals and social media specialists, we obviously had to write about it.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Many marketers are asking the following questions:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Is Snapchat suitable for the B2B sector?<\/li>\n<li>Can it be integrated into a B2B <a href=\"https:\/\/exob2b.com\/en\/difference-between-strategy-and-tactics-in-b2b-marketing\/\">marketing strategy<\/a>?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>This is what we\u2019ll clarify in this post!<\/p>\n<h2>Snapchat\u00a0: trends and figures<\/h2>\n<p>Snapchat is the millennial generation\u2019s favorite network! According to a US study by Media Metrix:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>8% of Snapchat users are between 18-24 years<\/li>\n<li>2% of them are between 25-24 years<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-19432 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/exob2b.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/reseaux-sociaux-age-612x316.jpg\" alt=\"Snapchat-age-b2b\" width=\"612\" height=\"316\" data-wp-pid=\"19432\" srcset=\"https:\/\/exob2b.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/reseaux-sociaux-age-612x316.jpg 612w, https:\/\/exob2b.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/reseaux-sociaux-age-612x316-300x155.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 612px) 100vw, 612px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>\u00a9MediaMetrix<\/p>\n<p>Compared to other networks (B2C usage), we can see that its audience is markedly different.<\/p>\n<p>The 25-34-year-old age range segment is the biggest for social media such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Google+ and Pinterest.<\/p>\n<p>However, this trend has been an evolving one. According to a study by Media Metrix, 38% of 25-34-year-olds use Snapchat in 2016, against only 5% in 2013.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-19433 size-full\" title=\"snapchat-marketing-b2b\" src=\"https:\/\/exob2b.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/snapchat-marketing-b2b.png\" alt=\"snapchat-marketing-b2b\" width=\"600\" height=\"316\" data-wp-pid=\"19433\" srcset=\"https:\/\/exob2b.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/snapchat-marketing-b2b.png 600w, https:\/\/exob2b.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/snapchat-marketing-b2b-300x158.png 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>\u00a9MediaMetrix<\/p>\n<p>As Snapchat is growing, perhaps it would be interesting to have a closer look at this network, which, in our opinion, isn\u2019t done surprising us.<\/p>\n<h2>Why do so few B2B companies use Snapchat?<\/h2>\n<p>In B2C, many companies have already taken the plunge and made Snapchat a powerful marketing tool! However, this isn\u2019t yet the case for B2B.<\/p>\n<p>Here are some figures that should motivate more than one B2B company (source MediaKix)<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>22% of advertisements are displayed on this network<\/li>\n<li>Snapchat ads are viewed more than a million times daily<\/li>\n<li>60% of smartphone users use Snapchat<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>The obstacles to using Snapchat in B2B<\/h2>\n<h3>1.\u00a0Ephemeral contents<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Shared content (photo or video) can only be viewed for 10 seconds (maximum) or 24 hours if sent via story.<\/li>\n<li>The number of characters is limited to 140.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>However, these points, in our opinion, already have solutions:<\/p>\n<p>Do you want to keep your shared content and distribute it on other networks? <strong>Record it and broadcast it!<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The 140 characters are too short for you?
